OUR VISION FOR ZIMBABWE

To become a beacon of hope in Africa, rebuilt on the foundations of justice, the rule of law, democracy, human rights and property rights, with a vibrant agri-based economy and opportunities for all.

OUR GOALS

  • Economic reform

  • Justice and compensation for people who have suffered dispossession and human rights abuses, notably farmers and farm workers

  • Restoration of the rule of law

  • Restoration of democracy

  • Restoration of human rights

  • Restoration of property rights (nationalisation of agricultural land has destroyed the economy)

  • The conversion of communal land into freehold land so that investment can take place

  • Moral regeneration to overcome the devastating history of violence and abuse

OUR CHRISTIAN ETHOS

Those who have seen the award winning documentary film, “Mugabe and the White African”, or read our executive director Ben Freeth’s book of the same name, will have witnessed courage inspired by a strong Christian faith.

Although the Mike Campbell Foundation is not a religious charity, our Christian ethos continues to be at the heart of all that the foundation does. It is undoubtedly a huge source of strength and courage for Ben and his team, and the charity is fortunate to benefit from the patronage of both Dr John Sentamu, the Archbishop of York, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town.

The verse from the Bible that motivates the Mike Campbell Foundation and encapsulates our ethos more than any other is Micah 6 verse 8:

“The Lord has shown you what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”.

To view watch a trailer of “Mugabe and the White African”;

"What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
